Aston Martin Vantage
The Aston Martin Vantage is series of hand-built sport cars from the British manufacturer Aston Martin. Aston Martin has previously used the “Vantage” name on high-performance variants of their existing GT models, notably on the Virage-based car of the 1990s. The modern car, in contrast, is the leanest and most agile car in Aston’s lineup. As such, it is intended as a more focused model to reach out to potential buyers of cars such as the Porsche 911 as well as the exotic sports and GT cars with which Aston Martins traditionally compete.
Aston Martin has used the Vantage name on a number of vehicles, normally indicating a high-performance version of another model. In one case, during 1972–1973, the Vantage was a distinct model, being a straight-6 powered version of the DBS, a car that had been launched as a straight-6 but was by that timeV8-powered (as the DBS-V8).
Visual cues include a unique 2-headlight front clip with DB6-like grille. It was also the last Aston Martin to come equipped with wire wheels. Just 71 examples were built.
The Vantage was the last straight-6 Aston Martin until the 1993 DB7.
A sporting dream, enhanced by increased power, torque and focused dynamics, together with subtle external detailing and a suitably unique interior.
The V8 Vantage is the highest performing and most driver-focussed V8-engined model in the range. Yet with generous equipment levels and high levels of refinement it remains a genuine and enticing proposition for everyday use. It is honed to deliver an intense experience on the road using knowledge gained from the track.
SEDUCTIVE FORM, SPORTING FUNCTION
Shrink-wrapped in a suit of aluminium, the V8 Vantage has the look of an athlete. With a physique toned and shaped by lessons learned in racing, the purity of its form is matched only by the efficiency of its function.
A SPORTING DREAM
Whether you are effortlessly devouring motorway miles or attacking sinuous mountain roads the V8 is your perfect partner. It is an enthralling sports car for the true connoisseur.
The interior is superbly stylish and beautifully crafted. Bold lines and confident simplicity ensure the demands of appealing aesthetics and functional ergonomics are equally well served, while the quality of the materials and craftsmanship is unmatched and unmistakable. No matter how many journeys you make, the Vantage feel-good factor never fades.
